I AM YOU!!!
I’m not kidding. A year ago I was fed up, exhausted, running on empty, burning the candle from both ends of the stick, barely sleeping, constipated, bloated and living on less than 1200 calories a day hoping to get back to my pre-pregnancy body I had 27 years ago. I was doing all I could hoping to lose the baby weight I gained during my last pregnancy 18 years ago. I had coveted and bought every nutrition product, workout program and meal plan a social media influencer was peddling. At one point in May 2020, I even paid $900 for 3 months of nutrition coaching with a health coach with a killer bod but life got in the way (or was it I gave in) and I quit after 2 weeks losing out on all the money and time.
It wasn’t until I saw a friend posting about how she had hired a health coach last September and was now eating almost 3000 calories a day, no longer doing cardio and eating Haagen Das ice cream some nights for dessert that made me stop dead in my tracks. Like come to a complete stop and start creeping on her health coach to see what the hell she was teaching cuz it sounded like some craziness. I wanted that life…to eat whatever and still lose weight. I had to know her secret. I mean, I was only 2 months into my integrative nutrition school and I was not aware of any diet where you could eat what you want and still lose weight. Have you???
After reaching out, learning her philosophy and later completing nutrition school and understanding the concepts she was sharing, it was a no brainer for me to hire her five months later. You know that saying, “therapists need therapists too”? Well, health coaches need health coaches and for me to invest in myself by hiring mine was the best damn investment I have ever made. Not only does my health coach help me with creating goals and keeping me accountable, she also talks me off the ledge when I feel like I need extra support.
