Certified Integrative Nutrition Health & Wellness Coach

There are three significant moments in my life that led me to becoming a certified integrative nutrition coach.  I feel one of these three stories may resonate with you so I'm going to share them here.

In 2010, my son's seasonal allergies were out of control. His face would swell up so large that he was unrecognizable. We tried every OTC medication available at the time and non of them seemed to help the watery, itchy eyes, sore throat, runny nose, congestion and swelling.  I reached out to my trusty internet friends and asked if anyone had any homeopathic remedies that could alleviate my son's symptoms.  A friend told me about essential oils.  Shockingly, the oil blend she recommended actually worked and since then, my son has no allergy symptoms as long as he begins to apply the essential oil blend about 4 weeks prior to his allergy season.

In 2015, my son's prescription medication for his mental health issues was no longer providing relief from his symptoms.  Once again, I reached out to the internet and was told about how you can heal mental health issues through diet and exercise.  I didn't believe it at first but after hearing a profound testimonial from one of my friends, I figured I would try it.  After 6 months of eliminating all processed food and foods with dye from my son's diet, it was like I had a different child.

In 2019, I helped pay for my daughter in law to go to school to become a health coach.  I was really excited for her to do this because health & wellness was something she was really passionate about. Every time I would see her, she would tell me some incredible facts about holistic health.  I was fascinated by what she had to share with me.  I was like a sponge soaking in every word.  At the time, I wondered if becoming a health coach was for me but due to the fixed mindset I had back then, I didn't think I was "smart enough" to memorize and retain the kind of information that they taught about (anatomy, physiology, biology, etc), especially since I had taken Nutrition 101 in college and barely passed with a C-.

Fast forward to May 2021, when I enrolled in health coaching school. Honestly, this was the BEST decision I ever made because not only am I helping my clients achieve their health & wellness goals but I found something I am extremely passionate about that I can't wait to share with the world.

I received my initial health coaching training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied a variety of dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. My education has equipped me with extensive, cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention. Since completing school, I have gone on to enroll and complete advanced course work focusing on Women's Health, Hormone Health, Gut Health, Emotional Eating, Mindset Coaching, Traditional Chinese Medicine, energy work to include Reiki and am currently enrolled in school to obtain my certification as a Personal Trainer.  

So what does a health coach do exactly? I empower my clients to make lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results. You will develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for YOU, improving your energy, balance, health, and happiness. I do not have a one size is all approach but instead focus on bio-individuality knowing what works for me may not work for you.

Each session will leave you feeling inspired and motivated. We will talk about things beyond food, seeking to bring balance to important elements of your life such as love and relationships as well as career and money. I will personally and carefully guide you to make simple, small changes that transform your life.
